The Knicks met with LeBron James’ business manager and agent Saturday night, after James had met with the Bulls and Cavs that same day, according to several reports.

The New York Post reports that James was not present at the meeting, which included Knicks senior VP Glen Grunwald and Madison Sqaure Garden’s Scott O’Neil as well as James’ agent, Leon Rose. The New York Daily News had reported it wasn’t clear whether James was present at the second Knicks meeting

The Knicks wanted to go over some things with Rose after Yahoo! reported they had fallen out of the race for James, according to the Post. James held meetings with six teams in three days after the opening of the NBA free-agent period.

The Daily News reports that the Knicks wanted the second meeting with Rose in order to inform the LeBron camp that New York has a deal with Amare Stoudemire. Daily News reporter Frank Isola tweeted on Sunday, “According to Knicks official, MSG prez Scott O’Neil and Glen Grunwald, VP of basketball ops, were sent to Ohio after Amar’e agreed to deal”

According to the Daily News, the Knicks are sensing that James could remain in Cleveland. There was speculation that James could make a decision as early as today, but The Plain Dealer of Cleveland reported that James plans to wait until after his three-day Nike camp. That camp ends Wednesday night—the night before players can officially sign contracts.
